Best Bets – Saturday 10th August

I think DUKE DE SESSA is ready third-up to bring his A game back to the races. He worked into the race well first-up and seemed to run out of condition and last start at Caulfield looked quite dour in the run home. Should be suited up to the 2040m of today’s race and look for him to be right in it at the finish at a nice each way price.

Do feel LEGIO TEN raced far too close last start at Flemington when was well backed to take out the race. From the draw he will likely be taken back and be able to come with the big run we know he possesses. Should prove hard to hold off.

BEEBEE DAZZLER generally gets back in his races and will likely do the same again here. Only missed a place once in his 8 start career and looks well suited here at Sunshine Coast with the wide open spaces to run home late.

LIQUOR looks extremely hard to beat in this 1000m sprint. Generally races on speed and looks well suited with this low draw. She has won two out of three second up and has an overall 50% winning strike rate. Should look the winner at some stage in the straight.

ICE PICK NICK looks hard to toss in the get out stakes at Belmont Park. Although he hasn’t raced on a heavy track previously, he has good slow track form, so I see no reason he won’t be able to get through the ground. Definitely due to get back into the winner’s stall and hope he can take us home a winner.
