Round 13 of the 2026 AFL season saw many highlights and lowlights, headlined by the Adelaide Crows stunning the Cats
ADELAIDE STUN THE CATS
The Adelaide Crows have managed to stun Geelong in a thrilling clash as they claimed an elusive top-eight scalp by a single point at the famed Adelaide Oval.
In a match that had every fan on the edge of their seat, the Crows looked the better team throughout the entirety of the match and were rewarded with a win as the Cats managed to stage a late comeback.
Midfielder Jordan Dawson bagged three goals for the Crows, while it was the Cats trio of Bailey Smith, Max Holmes and Patrick Dangerfield that led the disposal count but were unable to help guide their side to victory.
"A great story…and he looked unbelievable."

FREMANTLE ON FIRE
The Fremantle Dockers’ dominance over the rest of the teams in the AFL has continued with a 124-point victory over the North Melbourne Kangaroos on Saturday afternoon at Hands Oval in Bunbury.
The Dockers made light work of their opponents, absolutely thrashing them which was anchored by an amazing nine-goal blitz in the second quarter before the halftime break.
Duo Josh Treacy and Patrick Voss both bagged four goals each, while Sam Switowski and Luke Jackson chimed in with three of their own. Meanwhile, Andrew Brayshaw led the disposals count with 30 possessions.
“Fremantle were good and we were dreadful,” Kangaroos coach Alastair Clarkson said.
“Perhaps you have a little bit of shame because we want to come over here and be putting on a better performance than we did today.
“That sat us on the back foot early in terms of contest and we never really recovered from it.”

BRISBANE UNEARTH SPECIAL TALENT
The Brisbane Lions have unearthed a special talent in forward Logan Morris. Already a two-time premiership winner (2024 and 2025), he has seemingly taken his game to new heights during this year’s campaign.
Turning 21 years of age less than a month ago, Morris kicked a career-best seven goals over the weekend against the Gold Coast Suns, playing a lead role in them walking away with the win and the four points.
As the Lions won by 31 points (106 – 75), it is understood that their attention will now turn towards retaining the youngster’s services as several rivals fight fiercely for his services in the coming months.
“The reality is we’re a middling side, aren’t we?” opposing Gold Coast Suns coach Damien Hardwick said.
“We’re short of the contenders. We were last year and we’re the same place this year.
“We’ve got to get to work and figure out … what we can do to close that gap. We’re well short at the moment.
“It’s my job and our job as coaches to figure out how we get the response we’re after. We’ve got to bounce back.”
