AFL Round 21 – Tips and Preview

Geelong have conceded four games of 25 disposals or more to opposition ruckmen this season, more than any other side in the league.

Geelong are on a six-match winning streak and should be able to get past their opponents with ease having defeated them by 54 points earlier in the year.

The Bulldogs may have won seven of their last nine, but Fremantle are 5-2 against the line at Optus Stadium against the Bulldogs.

Lachie Bramble has taken over the Bailey Dale distributor role at the Kennel and he filled the stat sheet last week with 27 touches. Expect a similar performance from him this week.

St Kilda have covered the line in eight of the last nine meetings with Sydney and went extremely close to defeating them earlier this season.

In his last five matches, Bradley Hill has racked up 34, 24, 39, 42 and 37 possessions. Expect another strong match in the midfield this weekend.

Port Adelaide is struggling to show its best after three straight losses, so expect the Giants to pull off yet another upset this weekend.

Aaron Cadman is a key player for GWS, and they need him to produce more goals. He started the year well, but he has only two goals in his last three games. He will be eager to bounce back this week.

Brisbane have won their last seven and don’t look like losing anytime soon. Expect them to not only start the game off strong but also end it strongly too.

Zac Bailey has registered 25 or more disposals in his last three matches and has become a consistent player for the Lions.

Mykelti Lefau comes off a two-goal showing against the Bulldogs, and he will look to try and keep that form going.

Tom Lynch is an underutilised big man for Richmond, and if they can get him more involved, he should be able to get multiple opportunities on goal. He has also scored five from his last five matches.

Bayley Fritsch has eight goals in his last two games, including three goals last week and has been on fire inside the forward-50.

The best way to bounce back from a tough outing is by scoring the opening goal, so Jacob van Rooyen will look to get off to a perfect start and come up with the goods.

Tex Walker has eight goals from his last two games, and the rest he had when Adelaide defeated Sydney could pay off.

Finbarr Maley has four goals from his last five games.
