AFL Round 18 – Tips and Preview

Josh Treacy returned to his scoring best with three goals last weekend and has done it in three of his last five matches.

The Swans may be in second place, but it is always a difficult task to beat the Dockers at their home venue in Western Australia. Considering they lost last weekend, they will be in red-hot form to make up for it.

Tim Membrey has been in great form for the Magpies as of late, kicking three goals last weekend and 11 goals in his past five matches.

Collingwood are enjoying a fantastic run at the moment, winning their past three matches, so they are in much better form than the Kangaroos and will look to make it four straight.

The Saints have won their past two matches against the Power and already have a win over the opponents, Port Adelaide, this season.

Liam Ryan and Jack Higgins are both good options to be the opening goal-scorer and will contend with one another for the honour in the Saints forward 50. However, expect more of the attention to be on Ryan, which will free up the latter.

After not scoring last week, Jeremy Cameron will look to make up for lost time and there is no chance he doesn’t score a single goal against the GWS Giants.

Tanner Bruhn has recorded 20 or more possessions in three of his last five matches and will look to get the Geelong midfield going again.

Although the Hawthorn Hawks are expected to put up a good fight, the Carlton Blues have been too good in recent weeks and should walk away with the win but a lower margin.

Brodie Kemp has kicked two or more goals in three of his past five matches and is at generous odds to do it again this week.

Zac Taylor has five goals from his last five games, including two doubles.

Riley Thilthorpe kicked four goals last weekend, making it ten from his past three appearances.

Jordan Croft isn’t always the most consistent kicker for the Bulldogs, but he has five goals in his last four games, including a double against Sydney last week.

Aaron Naughton hasn’t been at his best goal-kicking form recently, but he should have a breakout performance against West Coast.

Harrison Petty is on an amazing run, kicking two goals in each of his last three appearances, and will look to get among the action in what is set to be a high-scoring outing.

Jacob van Rooyen has kicked eight goals in his past two games including three against the Hawks and five against the Adelaide Crows.

Logan Morris has kicked 16 goals in his past four matches for the Brisbane Lions, including three against Geelong. This means he is a good chance to kick at least three this weekend.

The Brisbane Lions love putting big totals on their opposition, so expect a massive margin this weekend when they face the Bombers.
