AFL Round 10 – Tips and Preview

The Geelong Cats have won ten of their last 15 at the Gabba venue and have looked in terrific touch over the past few weeks.

Lions midfielder Will Ashcroft has had 25 or more disposals in seven of his last eight home matches.

Sydney Swans forward Logan McDonald has kicked three goals in each of his last two matches and will look to further his streak at the SCG.

The Swans will look to demolish the Collingwood Magpies – who will be without Scott Pendlebury – and is a battle between the best team in the competition and the side that has been extremely inconsistent.

The Gold Coast and Damien Hardwick are not known for tagging players, so this will allow Zak Butters to roam free in the midfield for the Power.

Mitch Georgiades has kicked four goals in two of his last three matches and kicked a bag of four the last time he faced the Suns.

Zane Duursma has looked like the Kangaroos’ most dangerous forward over the last month so expect him to garner plenty of attention when he is in the forward 50.

The Adelaide are the clear favourites, but don’t count out the Kangaroos who look in much better form this season and have the ability to pull together strong performances.

Kicking five goals in his last five matches – including a double last weekend – ruckman Max Gawn has had no trouble kicking between the sticks as of late.

Jacob van Rooyen has been a goal-scoring machine for the Demons recently and has scored five goals in his last three matches.

They may have had a somewhat slow start to the season but with many of their stars returning in recent weeks, the Bulldogs have returned to their good form.

With the Bulldogs emerging as the clear favourites, key forward Aaron Naughton will attract a ton of looks early in the contest and is a consistent goal scorer.

The clear favourites to walk away with the win, expect a dominant performance by the Fremantle Dockers against the very underwhelming Bombers.

While the Bombers haven’t been the best performing side, that hasn’t stopped midfielder Archie Roberts from racking up the possessions and AFL Fantasy points for the Bombers. He had over 150 points last week.

While this is a bit of an odd selection, Mattaes Phillipou is a good shout to open up the goal-scoring. Although he isn’t the number one target inside the forward 50, he finds plenty of ball and always scrapping around near the contest.

No matter the outcome of the contest, Saints midfielder Jack Sinclair racks up possessions – and in turn AFL Fantasy points – with ease.

The number one target inside the Giants’ forward 50, Aaron Cadman is set to generate plenty of ball on Sunday and will likely have multiple shots on goal.

The GWS Giants will easily walk away with the victory this weekend but the only question is to whether or not their opponents (West Coast Eagles) will be able to stay in the contest.
