Following a standout pre-season, key forward Joel Amartey enters the 2025 campaign with plenty of pressure and high expectations. One of Sydney’s best in the forward 50, Amartey will be the primary target and should be able to be the first goal scorer if he can kick straight.
Final Thought
One of the premiership favourites, the Hawks will be eager to get off to a fantastic start to their season and continue their form from 2024 where they took the competition by storm. The Swans will also be without a few key players including Errol Gulden due to injury.

A Brownlow favourite, Nick Daicos will look to take control of the game on Sunday and is likely to rack up even more possessions in what is set to be a wea-weather, rainy and cold clash. It can be expected that a lot of these disposals will come in handballs, as the Magpies attempt to get off to a fantastic start.
Final Thought
While the Giants were the favourites before pre-season began, they will be without Jesse Hogan and Jake Stringer in what are two massive losses. Without a recognised star forward in their team, the Magpies are the complete opposite.
